Herméneutique et mémoire(s). Rééexions sur la littérature franco-antillaise

Abstract : Memory is considered here in its connection with hermeneutics. Consequently, Halbwachs’ theory of collective memory is examined in more detail and its repercussions are traced to modern theories (Assmann, Ricœur, Goody). The insights gained from this reflection are then applied to the Antilles, which leads us to present a catalogue of diverse memory acts and memory types in the current Franco-Antillean literature.
