De la predication seconde a la predication premiere : ka en créole martiniquais

Abstract : This paper presents an hypothesis about the origin of “ka”, which is the imperfective aspect marker in Creole from Martinique. Following Naoyo Furukawa’s analysis related to the sentences like “Le facteur qui passe !”, we try to show the relation of “ka” with the form “ être à + infinitive” integrated in a structure implying a deictic relative.
