TICE et transposition didactique contextualisée : retour d'expérience dans l'enseignement-apprentissage du Français Langue 3 en milieu universitaire arabophone

Abstract : In the Near and Middle East, due to a lack of localized or locally produced French as a foreign language textbooks, teachers are limited to using global textbooks developed by French authors for an international audience, rather than materials which are well-adapted to the local educational culture. In this article I show how ICT can be used to adapt instruction to the learning culture of students. The article draws partly on my experience as a lecturer in French at a Jordanian university, where an e-learning French course was implemented which focused on the everyday lives of students, and where ICT proved to be a good means of responding appropriately to Arab students’needs.
